Streamlined and Secured: Sharp’s Next-Generation A3 MFPs Redefine the Modern Workplace

As hybrid work and the growing prevalence of cyberattacks continue to reshape how businesses operate, the role of office technology is evolving fast. With security and reliability holding unprecedented importance, the pressure is on to streamline workflows and protect sensitive data, whilst innovating to stay ahead of the competition. Sharp’s new A3 multifunction printer (MFP) series is designed to meet that challenge head-on.

Replacing the current range, this latest generation includes advanced smart features, and one of the industry’s lowest Typical Electricity Consumption (TEC) values, all while maintaining the reliability and intuitive user experience that Sharp customers know and trust.

Designed for the new era of smart work
The new A3 MFPs are built around one core principle: seamless productivity. With print speeds of up to 65 pages per minute and improved scan performance that allows teams to digitise and share documents in seconds, these devices are designed for the pace of today’s hybrid offices.

Personalisation also gets a boost. The new ‘My Favourite Colour Tone’ feature lets users select from ten preset styles for a tailored finish, ideal for teams that want consistent, professional-looking output without manual tweaking.

And for IT teams managing distributed workforces, integration is effortless. Whether printing from mobile devices or connecting directly with cloud services, the modernised interface keeps everyday tasks simple, fast, and consistent, wherever work happens.

Security that keeps pace with evolving threats
In 2025, cybersecurity is no longer just about endpoints and networks; it is about every device that touches your data. Printers are no exception. Sharp’s latest MFPs negate these growing risks with built-in Microsoft Entra ID integration, enabling token-based authentication for Microsoft 365 users. This ensures that only authorised employees can access the device or sensitive files.

The devices also include automatic BIOS recovery, which quickly restores firmware to a secure state in the event of an issue. For organisations needing an extra layer of defence, the optional BitDefender-powered virus detection kit offers continuous protection for both the device and the wider network.

With Sharp research revealing that only 15% of employees have received printer-specific security training, these new safeguards could not have come at a better time.

Sustainability built in, not bolted on
Today’s business leaders cannot afford to separate performance from sustainability, and Sharp is not asking them to. Each new A3 model uses up to 50% Post Consumer Recycled (PCR) plastics, one of the highest ratios in the industry.

Even the packaging has been rethought, replacing polystyrene with recyclable cardboard. Combine that with best-in-class low TEC values and new power-saving modes, and you have devices that help organisations reduce both their carbon footprint and operating costs.

This is not token eco-design; it is part of Sharp’s ongoing commitment to more sustainable workplace technology, aligning with the global drive for greener operations.
