Sharp broadens its A4 printers portfolio designed for the modern workplace

Sharp, a leading provider of business technology products and services, is launching three new A4 colour MFPs (multi-function printers) to add to its growing range of products designed for the evolving hybrid future workplace.

The new models, BP-C542WD, BP-C533WD and BP-C533WR, bring Sharp’s latest connectivity features to a compact MFP suitable for limited space. The printers complement A3 models perfectly to cater for a range of business needs while offering a powerful standalone system for smaller offices or workplaces.

Smart functionality and design

The new A4 models fit reliable features inside more compact housing, without sacrificing on quality. Powerful 1200dpi print resolution accompanies 130ipm scanning, all controlled by a 7” Full Flat touch panel. Easy Scanning settings provide a simpler experience for users, while the improved highlighted line mode means scans more accurately reflect highlighted originals. Featuring a consistent user experience with the same controller platform as the latest A3 range, the new products improve and enhance usability, performance and productivity while ensuring that getting to grips with the new models remains straightforward.

Connectivity

The range offers several connectivity options such as Microsoft Teams, mobile connections, Wireless LAN, and standard Bluetooth/NFC. Users can also securely send or scan documents to any Teams channels or folders, as well as print files directly from Teams.

Security

The models offer remote firmware updates to safeguard business security and optional Bitdefender anti-malware support that shields from network and data vulnerabilities, bringing peace of mind to users. Virus scans are also scheduled daily by default, accompanying real-time scans on incoming or outgoing data.

Sustainability

The new A4 MFPs operate with industry leading Total Electricity Consumption (TEC) value, offering a 35% reduction in power consumption in ready mode and 70% reduction in sleep mode, totalling a 42% reduction in TEC compared to the previous models.

Ben Lake, Senior Product Manager at Sharp Europe says: “Our new A4 range is equipped with our most advanced features to date, providing connectivity, security, and sustainability all inside a smaller size suited to any office. We’ve remained consistent with our sleek design but combined it with class leading new technology that is a perfect match for the changing hybrid future workplace.”

The new models are available to buy now from Sharp and its partners.
