Sharp launches Synappx brand to support the workplace of the future

A new brand for a range of Sharp products, applications and services to streamline workplace collaboration and productivity.

London – Sharp today announces the launch of Synappx, a new brand for a new range of smart office solutions that aims to address the changing needs and challenges of the future workplace. Rolling out across Europe, the new collaboration and productivity applications will integrate seamlessly with Sharp Synappx enabled devices, offering ease of use, secure accessibility and mobility, essential for increasingly popular hybrid working. The initial offering consists of two new services developed to improve the way people communicate and work together – Synappx Go and Synappx Meeting.

Synappx Meeting leverages cloud and mobile technology to help deliver a seamless and timely meeting experience. With a single click, users can wirelessly connect their devices to a meeting display to mirror their personal PC; automatically start a web conference and then enable participants to easily access meeting materials. Synappx Meeting Assistant will help manage the meeting time, and with a click enable users to simply and securely close the meeting.

Enabling users to be productive wherever they are, the Synappx Go service equips mobile devices with time saving remote operation tools to streamline printing and scanning from Sharp multifunction printers (MFPs). Wherever they are, through the mobile application users will also be able to easily retrieve, scale and present content stored in multiple cloud storage services onto Sharp displays.

Rob Davis, Solutions & Services Business Manager at Sharp said, “Synappx has been driven by the demand from our customers for an easy user experience when using different technology products across their business. These new products allow us to combine the platforms and applications that customers are already using with Sharp’s devices, delivering this in a consistent and simple way across our product range.

Our recent research into meetings highlighted that employees’ expectations are now heavily aligned to the convenience of the smart technologies used at home, with more than two-thirds (68%) stating that an employer that provides the technology they need to be able to work from anywhere has become more important to them1. Our Synappx applications help to support these needs, transforming today’s office by enabling our customers to be better connected and collaborate more effectively wherever they are located, and bringing the convenience of today’s smart home technology to the workplace.”

When combined with Synappx Ready Systems, both applications remove complexity from users’ work day by connecting existing technologies and applications in one place, to enhance productivity and make workspaces more efficient. Initially, Synappx Ready Systems will include the Windows collaboration display from Sharp, BIG PAD interactive displays and various A3 multifunction printers.

Built on an open architecture, Synappx applications work with industry-leading IT platforms, cloud storage and meeting solutions such as Microsoft 365, Google Workspaces Microsoft Teams, GoToMeeting, Zoom, Cisco WebEx, Google Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox. This provides a simple user experience with technology that most businesses are already using, to ensure more time is spent being creative and less time worrying about technology.

Synappx Go and Meeting are available now through Sharp and its partners. For more information visit www.sharp.eu.
